WELCOME TO THE WESTERN SCHOOL OF MASSAGE
Established in 1997, Western School of Massage has trained some of the top therapists in the UK for over 25 years.
We are Scotland’s favourite massage therapy training organisation and the only one offering University credit rated courses in both Swedish Massage and Remedial & Sports Massage.
We tailor our courses to fit the needs of all therapists - from first-time students to experienced practitioners, who are all taught in a friendly, motivational and encouraging atmosphere.
Our courses are credit rated by Glasgow Caledonian University at levels 7 and 8 respectively, awarding 60 credits each. Being credit rated by GCU gives you confidence in your choice to study with us, knowing that your qualifications are widely recognised and valued by potential employers. Studying a university credit rated course demonstrates the level and depth of study required to gain the award. You can use your awarded credits towards further study or transfer them between other courses.
There is a huge difference between credit rated courses and accredited courses. Anyone can accredit a course but only a higher education authority like GCU can credit rate a course.
Students can choose to study our CPD certificate courses in Advanced Remedial Massage and Seated Acupressure (on-site) Massage.

18 tutors who are practicing therapists and graduates of the School which ensures you are being taught to the same standard by everyone connected to Western School.
We offer a free and open invitation to visit Western School for a morning and ‘sit-in’ with one of our current classes when available. This allows you to see the lecturers in action, view the course content, ask any questions you may have and have a chat with the existing students.
First Aid course is included in the Swedish Massage course fee (certificate valid for 3 years).
Upon Graduation, you can apply for membership with professional bodies such as SMTO and will have access to insurance such as Balens.
We offer ongoing support to all our graduates, for life. We are happy for you to keep in contact with the school on an informal basis with any queries you may have.
