Award
Diploma in Seated Acupressure Massage (DSAM)
Entry Qualifications
An appropriate qualification in Massage (such as a Diploma in Swedish Massage) or Aromatherapy, Shiatsu, Reflexology, Osteopathy, Physiotherapy, Medicine or Nursing. Knowledge of Anatomy and Physiology is essential while practical experience in' hands-on' therapeutic work is preferred.

As with many schools, award of the diploma is based on a process of continuous assessment throughout the course and the completion of formal case studies. This ensures that the graduate is fully prepared to enter the profession as a demonstrably highly-skilled therapist.

Additionally each student is tutored and assisted in preparing
• a summary business plan defining how to grow his/her practice
• sample promotional literature selling On-Site massage.
These practical elements ensure that the student is prepared to effectively promote, sell and perform their On-Site skills to the maximum on completion of the course.
Access
The premises at GCU used for Western School courses have full disabled access. Additionally, the school has a commitment to working with students with special needs. A significant number of therapists who have graduated from the Western have done so despite challenges such as dyslexia and visual impairment.
Fees
Course fees consist of two parts:
Registration fee
£125 payable at the time of registering for a place on a course
(non-refundable once acceptance on course is confirmed).
Tuition fees
£300 payable as a lump sum before start of course
diploma course tuition fees can also be paid by installments on a monthly basis.
